“The Art of Movement for the Mature and the Brave”

Today at Altru, something completely different from the usual happened!

Our residents actively participated with great enthusiasm in a unique activity session incorporating elements of Okinawan karate. It was a workout that combined movement, breathing, mindfulness, and concentration.

For an hour, we practiced balance, coordination, and focus. There was a bit of effort, a few challenges, but above all, plenty of positive energy and satisfaction.

Because there’s no age limit on being active. And aging can be a process full of curiosity, courage, and new experiences. It’s moments like these that show it’s worth trying new things, discovering, and stepping outside our comfort zones.

And by the way… we were simply together. With smiles, mutual support, and the awareness that shared activity truly brings us closer.

Thank you to the Przemysl Shorin-Ryu Karate Club—Dojo Kamon—and Sensei Ula Sobol for this exceptional lesson in movement, mindfulness, and positive energy!
